Welcome to the Perry Removals of Halstead website. This website has been designed to help you through the process of moving home with information not only on the removal itself but on other pre and post removal day issues.
With a population of over 11,000, Halstead is nestled in the Colne Valley. It's name derives from the old English 'Halde', meaning 'Healthy Place'. It was used many times as the backdrop for the "Lovejoy" TV series which starred Ian McShane. Halstead was also home to the famous singer Matt Cardle, the winner of televisions 2010 X Factor who was brought up in the town
In the lower town a former riverside mill has been converted into an Antiques Centre which leads on to a riverside walk beside the Colne. The town lies on the line of the former Colne Valley Railway which boasted one of the longest and highest brick built viaducts at nearby Chappel village.
Perry Removals have carried out moves throughout the area including Moyns Park, the former home of Lord Ivar Mountbatten.
